Turn on the Bookmarks Toolbar

Organise your bookmarks into folders and have your very own "to do" list right on your toolbar.

When you first install Google Chrome, the bookmarks toolbar is hidden. To make it visible, click on the Spanner icon and select Bookmarks > Show bookmarks bar. Now right click in the bar that appears and select Add folder. Then when you bookmark a page in future you can select which folder to add it to via the dropdown list.

Shortcut: ctrl-shift-b (Mac: Apple-Shift-B)

Some things you can bookmark that you might not have thought of:

• Drive folders, so that e.g. a project's docs are easily accessible
• Chrome's saved passwords or any other settings "page" (these links don't work from here - you need to find the page in Chrome's settings and then bookmark:
  • chrome://settings/passwords
  • chrome://downloads/
  • chrome://extensions/
• links to create Google Docs
• Contacts
• Calendars
• Tasks

Chrome's new tabs now always show the bookmarks bar, so you don't have to sit and look at them all the time.
