Create Application Shortcuts

Add a shortcut to your Desktop, Start Menu or Taskbar for any web page you are on in Google Chrome.

A little known feature of Google Chrome is the ability to create shortcuts to any web page easily from the Chrome spanner menu. We recommend you check this feature out as it's a very handy one.

For example, use it to quickly create a shortcut to Gmail, Contacts or Google Docs and you can place a shortcut on your Desktop, Start Menu or even pin Gmail permanently to your Taskbar. Very handy!

For Mac user the "Create application shortcut..." will be grayed out. I found thisarticle how to get application shortcuts to work on Mac OS X. http://www.lessannoyingcrm.com/articles/240/Updates_to_Mac_Chrome_application_sho rtcuts_and_the_iOS_fullscreen_webapp_generator
