In fact we wish these labs would hurry up and become standard features.

Lab	Pros	Cons
Inserting images	Insert images directly into the body of an email	Not as useful now you can copy and paste images into emails
Canned Responses	Brilliant way to set up email templates if you need to send regular emails with the same template	The user interface is not as good as it could be
Google Docs previews in mail	Shows previews of documents, spreadsheets and presentations directly in the email when you receive any link to a Google Doc.	Takes some vertical at the bottom of each email
Quick links	Save a link to any part of Google Apps Gmail eg a specific tab within Settings, or a specific search	It's a shame you can't save external links
Preview pane	One for Outlook users that miss the preview pane feature	We're not sure Gmail is meant to have a preview pane
Chat on right	Move the chat box to the right hand side if it suits you. Opens up left hand side for other lab - such as Quick Links	You lose right hand space.
Undo Send	For those of you who don't religiously check email for spellings etc, a chance to quickly stop an email from being sent.	May encourage bad practice, emails should be checked before you hit that Send button.
