Christmas has come early for Google Docs users. If you liked Docs recent feature of customising tables with different colours and line thickness, then you’re going to love the latest feature. You can now merge cells together, allowing you to get your table looking the way you want.
To merge table cells, all you need to do is highlight the cells in your table you want to merge, right click and select merge cells.
Merged table cells in Word documents can now be imported as well.
This is currently only available to domains on the rapid release track and expected to rollout to everyone on scheduled release within a couple of weeks.
