Users who create events for meetings in any location can now easily and accurately populate the name, street and city of their venue, by using ‘Google Maps autocomplete’ in Google Calendar. The “Where” field on the create events screen in Google Calendar will now see an autocomplete suggestion from Google Maps. When the user chooses that suggestion, the “Map” link in the event will open Google Maps showing the location of the venue. A suggestion is not always shown, it depends on the venue your event is at, but it’s a neat feature when it works.

If that wasn’t handy enough from 29th January, those of you with domains that have enabled Google+ Premium Features, can now edit the name of the Hangout – either as you add it to your Google Calendar event or as you set up a call in Hangouts. This naming works well if you like keeping a regular Hangout open. – for example a weekly Sales Meeting.
